Spirit Made Steel Dojo of Bethlehem, Georgia teaches Shin Nagare Karate. A "Modern Approach to an Ancient Art," Shin Nagare is an outgrowth of Shotokan Karate that also includes elements of Jujitsu, Kickboxing, western boxing, and western wrestling.

Sensei Russell Newquist teaches all classes with the help of his wife Morgon.

Currently, classes are held at the Riverwalk YMCA in Bethlehem, Georgia. Youth classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30PM until 5:30PM. Adult classes are also Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7:45PM until 8:45PM.

Classes are taught with an emphasis on fitness and self-defense. Youth classes are aimed at children from the age of six or seven until they are old enough, large enough, and mature enough to work with the adults.

We are members of the American Budo Society and maintain close ties to our sister school, the original Spirit Made Steel Dojo in Madison, Alabama.
